Samsung Galaxy S 4 in early May will be to India to promote

As you might expect, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 is going to be launched in India. According to sources of the anonymous kind, the new Android flagship device will be released some time in early May. The late April-early May time period seems be when the mobile phone will be rolling out across most markets. So far, the earliest date appears to be the April 26th launch on the U.K.'s EE.

Unlike the U.S. version of the mobile phone, which will feature a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, the Indian version of the phone will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor. So the first version of the phone will have no 4G LTE connectivity, just 3G. Later in the year, a TDD/FDD LTE variant of the phone is expected to launch in the region. Additionally, only the 16GB model of the phone will be released in India which means the 32GB and 64GB models will not be available. But with a microSD card, you can expand the storage on your device anyway.

Off contract, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 in India is supposed to be Rs. 40,000-45,000 ($740-$833 USD) without a contract. Carrier subsidized pricing is expected with signed contracts. Two carries in the country expected to carry the mobile phone are Vodafone and Airtel, but launch dates are not yet known.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be going up against the HTC One and the Sony Xperia Z in the country. Which one will capture the bulk of the sales?
