Hongmi 2G 5.5-inch smart phone aroused strong response

Last week the Hongmi phone which has been speculated for a long time was launched. With its 4.7-inch IPS retina screen, MT6589T quad-core processor as well as the extremely low price of 130 bucks, it has aroused China mobile phone market strong response. Some professional personnel think the market of the low-end phones shall be swept through by the wave of the rising Hongmi phones.


Moreover, it’s also speculated that another version of Hongmi 2G phone and Xiaomi 3 shall hit the shelves very soon, which shall be collocated with 5.5-inch screen and released before October.

Whether the 2G Hongmi shall be released so soon depends on the selling record, therefore, it’s thought that the 2G Hongmi is not to hit the street so quickly.

Several months ago, it’s spread that multiple versions of Xiaomi phones shall be issued, among which in early days LC1810 dual-core chips are adopted while later MTK6589TD and Spreadtrum quad-core Shark TD shall be applied. At the moment the scheme of LC1810 dual-core chip is vetoed. As a matter of fact, the present Hongmi phones are collocated with MTK6589 processor and support TD network, therefore, maybe the Hongmi 2G version shall adopt Spreadtrum quad-core SharkTD processor and support the mobile network as the speculation says.
