Last month, Samsung Display has signed a cooperation agreement with Apple, for this year's iPhone 8 supply 80 million OLED panels. And Korea Herald today reported that Samsung Display has signed 180 million iPhone 9 OLED panel supply agreement.
Reported that Samsung Display will supply two sizes of OLED panels for the iPhone 9, the screen size of 5.28 inches and 6.46 inches, 6.46 inches may be the iPhone 9 Plus. The number of suppliers will be iPhone 8 supply more than 2 times, reaching about 180 million.
The company said: "The two companies have recently signed a confidentiality agreement, the general terms of supply reached a consensus, such as the screen size, but some other details, such as screen design and function, etc., remains to be discussed, because next year's IPhone is still under development. "
